Empire of Fragrances

WELCOME TO THE REALM OF SCENTS!

The Empire of Scents is a herbal fragrance and experience house. Visitors gain insight into how herbs can become part of our everyday lives in various forms – e.g. distilled, pressed, extracted – through the power of nature. We guide you into the knowledge base of nature with information publications, interactive children's and adult programs, as well as workshops and herbal preparations that can be tried on site.

Opening hours on Fridays, Saturdays and during our events:

In February: 9:00-15:30

In March: 9:00-16:30

From April 1 to September 30: 9:00-17:30

October: 9:00-16:30

The Empire of Scents is closed from Monday to Thursday. The house is available to participants during the programs listed in the Program Offer.

The Empire of Scents is free to visit, but separate tickets are required for the organized programs and workshops. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day of the program at the Botanical Garden ticket office by cash or card payment.

In the workshops, participants will make skin- and environmentally friendly ointments using herbal extracts and essential oils.

Workshop – Making a soothing summer body spray

Bőrnyugtató testpermetet készítünk, mely a nyári meleg, magas UV sugárzás, uszodai klóros víz káros hatásait közömbösíti, ezáltal a bőr öregedését is lassítja. A gyógynövény kivonatok és olajok mellett vitaminokkal segítjük a kívánt hatás elérését. A testpermet, üdítő illatával, jó bőrérzetet adva, kedvence lehet az egész családnak.

Workshop – Making herbal hand and body lotion

Olyan kézműves kéz-, és testápolót készítünk, amely valódi táplálékul szolgál a bőr számára magas hatóanyag tartalmú gyógynövény kivonatokkal, olajokkal, vitaminokkal. A résztvevők tetszés szerint formálhatják az illatát, frissítő vagy nyugtató hatást adva a krémnek. A résztvevők 100 ml saját készítésű bőrápolóval térhetnek haza.

INTERESTINGNESS

In the Empire of Scents, starting in May 2025, adult visitors can use recipe cards to create their own thematic essential oil blend (e.g., a respiratory cleansing, muscle relaxing, or calming blend) or scent roll-ons every day of opening. More information on site.
