Loess lawn specialist plant species

In 2011, at the request of the Körös-Maros National Park, the SZTE Botanical Garden undertook to collect seeds from individuals of 32 loess lawn specialist plant species and propagate them ex situ, and then plant the grown stems on abandoned fields designated by the national park and in various stages of regeneration. As part of the project, in the fall of 2012, we planted 6,900 seedlings in 5 specified habitat patches. In 2013, the work will continue with the monitoring of the plants.
