Spring Tulip Days
One of the biggest stars of spring among flowers is undoubtedly the tulip. During these two afternoons, visitors can learn about the origin, history, and ethnographic significance of the tulip.

14.00 – Gypsy ethnographic sources of Attila József's poem Tiszta sívvel – presentation by Dr. Zoltán Kelemen on the Day of Hungarian Poetry
14.45 – Performance by folk singer Kata Dudás and folk musician András Szabó
15.15 – Tulips are the spring decoration of our garden – presentation by Zoltán Szarvas, horticultural engineer
The presentation is about one of the most popular spring flowers, the tulip, its origin, tulip varieties, and how it ended up in Mórahalom, at the Sand Flower Farm.
16.15 – Museum objects and flourishing traditions – tulip carvings, embroideries, painted furniture

17.00 – Turkish folk music concert with musicians from the Birlik Ma-Türk Association
Saturday, April 12, 10:00-18:00
10.00-15.00 – “Turn around…” interactive folk costume craft playhouse
Adults and children can wear the various costumes of Hungarian ethnographic regions from Kalocsa to Kalotaszeg, the simplest and most magnificent games await families on the play mat, from potato guns to stuffed goose, while those interested can make tulips in Bea's creative experience workshop.

16.30 – Turkish folk music concert with musicians from the Birlik Ma-Türk Association
"Hey tulip, tulip" We are announcing a photo contest, to which anyone can apply, with artistically created photos depicting tulips. The photos can be taken in the SZTE Botanical Garden or any other location, in a size that can later be suitable for printing 40×60 cm, in 300 dpi resolution. For the preliminary evaluation, we expect a maximum of 2 photos per person (a version of the original photo reduced to a maximum of 1 MB) by April 20th to sztary.erika@szte.hu The selected images will be exhibited in the rose garden on May 24th, Plant Day.
