Hanami, enjoying the cherry blossoms
The hanami (花見, literally "flower-viewing") enjoying cherry blossoms and Japanese plum blossoms in the spring, according to a traditional Japanese custom. Cherry blossoms sweep across Japan from the end of March to the beginning of May. From the end of March, the cherry trees bloom in the Japanese Garden of the Botanical Garden, and our event is related to this, in which we want to bring this traditional holiday in Japan closer to visitors with cultural programs and the flora of the Japanese gardens with a garden presentation.

A tavasz egyik legnagyobb sztárja a virágok között vitathatatlanul a tulipán. A tavaszköszöntő tulipán túrákon a látogatók megismerkedhetnek a Füvészkertben található a tulipán fajtákkal, a növény származásával, történetével.

Earth Day
Families are invited to a playful tour combined with stamp collecting. Those interested can playfully learn how to become active environmentally conscious people and how they can do something to save the Earth. In addition to the stamp-collecting obstacle course, we also welcome the little ones to crafts and children's programs.
For the older ones, we are preparing products and practical advice related to environmental protection, sustainability, and recycling.

Növények Napja – Noé bárkája ünnepélyes megnyitó
Egy újabb tartalmas és sokszínű Családi Nappal várunk minden kedves látogatót az SZTE Füvészkertbe, ahol előadásokkal, bemutatókkal a növényi sokféleségre, a növények rendkívüli és az emberi életben betöltött fontosságára igyekszünk felhívni a figyelmet. Célunk, hogy a természetvédelemmel és az élővilág védelmével megismertessük a látogatókat. A nap folyamán kerül sor a Noé bárkájának ünnepélyes megnyitójára is, ami a Füvészkert legújabb projektjeként a védett és fokozottan védett növények gyűjteménye lesz.

Nyári virágkavalkád
A levendula és rózsa mellett ősi magyar virágokkal is találkozhatnak a látogatók. Ismeretterjesztő előadásokon egészségünk megőrzésének természetes lehetőségeivel ismerkedhetnek meg; legyen szó akár gyógyhatású teákról, illatozó természetes alapanyagú szappanokról, illóolajokról, szörpökről. Emellett a látogatók ízelítőt kaphatnak nemcsak a gyógynövényekből, de a magyar őshonos flóra gyakori vagy ritkább elemeiből és a régi tanyák, kertek termesztett és dísznövényeiből is. Betekintést nyerhetnek az olyan idegenhonos növényfajok ismeretébe is, amelyek mára mindennapi életünkben betöltött szerepük miatt hungarikummá váltak.
A kulturális programok mellett színes és illatgazdag kézműves termékek és növényvásár segít bennünket abban, hogy a programok élménye mellett különleges finomságokat és emlékeket vihessünk magunkkal.

XIX. Lótusz Napok
True to our traditions, we timed the event for the last weekend of July, matching the peak flowering of the Indian lotus that has decorated our garden pond for nearly a hundred years. During the two-day festival, we want to conjure up a little Far Eastern atmosphere among the shady trees of the Füvészkert.
In connection with the Indian lotus, our guests can learn about many customs, music, dance, movement culture, food and drink that are rooted in Eastern culture and are becoming more and more popular in the West today. And in addition to all this, due to the spirit of the place, of course the interesting plants of Asia cannot be left out.

Day of African and exotic plants
A már harmadik alkalommal megrendezett eseményen Afrika különleges növényvilágát szeretnénk megmutatni az érdeklődőknek, egyúttal megismertetve velük a fekete kontinens kultúrájának egy kis szeletét is. Emellett érdekességeket láthatnak a rovarfogó és egzotikus növények világából is. Növényvásárral és kertészeti szaktanácsokkal várjuk azokat, akik különlegesebb, ritkábban tartott növények nevelésével is megpróbálkoznának.

Bee Day
We welcome those interested with playful, educational tasks, stations related to bees and beekeeping. They can learn, among other things, why pollen and propolis are useful, learn about beekeeping tools, and the staff of the Botanical Garden will present the plants of the bee pasture. You can be part of a bee demonstration with an observation hive, you can make a wax candle and of course there will also be a honey tasting.

Pumpkin Day - Family Day with pumpkin carving
If it's October, it's Pumpkin Good Day in the Füvészkert, where the popular delicacies of autumn, pumpkins, are the main characters. We offer meaningful and entertaining programs for both young and old.
There will be pumpkin carving, where everyone can carve their own unique Halloween pumpkin lantern outdoors. In the framework of an exhibition, our visitors can learn about the amazing variety of pumpkins: the huge Halloween pumpkins, the slender thief varieties and the countless small decorative pumpkins with a wealth of colors, patterns and shapes. They can learn how the large, hard-shelled gourds of pumpkins can be used in many ways and that pumpkins are also an important medicinal plant. Pumpkin seeds can prove their skills in very good games of skill! In addition to all this, we also welcome those interested with a fair of handicraft products and handicraft sessions.

Momiji - Delighting in the colors of autumn leaves
Momiji, when the god of the mountain paints the tree leaves red. At that time, the Japanese like to visit the most picturesque places. The Japanese maples in the Japanese garden of the Füvészkert also take on an amazing colorful dress in autumn. Our event is related to this, where we want to bring this traditional Japanese holiday closer to the visitors by showing the plants and the culture.
From late afternoon until the end of the program, the route of the walk in the cozy Japanese garden will be illuminated with lamps and candlesticks, so whoever visits the Herb Garden at that time can have a unique and special experience.
