Microgreens - the power of small things

We look forward to welcoming all interested parties to the next meeting of the Szeged Garden Friends Circle on Tuesday, April 9, at 5:00 p.m., where assistant professor Dr. Péter Hegyes, PhD, will give a lecture on the world of microgreens.

We call microgreens the vegetables that have already left the germ state and are in the one or two leaf state that have started to turn green. Similar to sprouts, various vitamins and minerals are concentrated in microgreens. Thanks to their fast growing cycle, we can constantly supplement our meals with fresh and healthy greens. During the presentation, the microgreen cultivation process of peas, sunflowers, radishes and red cabbage will be presented, as well as the tools for indoor cultivation.

Admission is free.
